Bushcraft 101

This Friday the 11th of May we are heading into the Hunua Ranges. We will be learning and practicing a range of bushcraft skills.


Make sure you have:

  • Enough food and drink
  • Warm clothes
  • Wet weather gear
  • Good shoes or tramping boots
  • A backpack that you can put everything in.
I suggest packing things that might get wet in a plastic bag to help keep them dry.

Keep your eyes on the weather - we will be going regardless of the conditions. Knowing what the weather is doing will give you a good idea what to bring on the day.

    Thanks for a wicked day - hope you all learnt lots! I learnt that if I am going to be stuck in the bush all night that I would rather let the girls sort out shelter for me than the boys!!!!!!! Check out the photos and see if you agree!
